Job Description Job Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly gross margin reports to support financial reviews. • Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including uploading and reconciling financial data. • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Conduct journal entries and maintain the general ledger for accurate financial documentation. • Assist with corporate tax returns and sales tax filings, adhering to regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with team members to improve financial reporting processes and systems. • Provide insights into financial data to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure all accounting practices align with organizational policies and industry standards.• Proven experience in handling sales tax and corporate tax returns. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. • Expertise in month-end and quarter-end close processes. • Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports. • Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Proficiency with accounting software and systems. • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
