Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are pioneering the future of
cloud infrastructure and public works projects. We are seeking a
seasoned Construction Manager to oversee the development and
construction of AWS's expanding Data Center properties. This
position will play a crucial role in ensuring that our
infrastructural projects meet our high standards of efficiency and
scalability to support cloud computing services globally. The
Construction Manager will be accountable for the overall success of
construction projects from initial planning to completion, focusing
on timing, cost, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a
proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring
compliance with building specifications, codes, and safety
regulations. Manage and coordinate with contractors, engineers,
architects, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and
within budget. Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with
subcontractors and vendors. Monitor project progress, adjust
schedules and resources as necessary to meet deadlines. Conduct
routine inspections and enforce strict safety regulations on the
construction site. Report regularly to senior management on
progress, costs, and issues. Drive adherence to federal, state, and
local construction regulations, resolving any discrepancies. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in construction
management software such as Procore, AutoCAD, or similar. Excellent
project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents. Medical

Certified Construction Manager (CCM) - preferred. OSHA safety
certification.
