Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are expanding our
infrastructure at a rapid pace and are looking for a skilled
Construction Manager to oversee the development of new Data Centers
(DCs). The role requires a proactive leader who can manage the
construction of advanced, secure, and sustainable AWS
infrastructures, aligning project goals with our mission of global
expansion while minimizing environmental impact. As a Construction
Manager, you will be responsible for the detailed engineering,
procurement, and construction phases, ensuring that all aspects of
the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the
highest standards of quality and safety. Plan, coordinate, budget,
and supervise AWS Data Center construction projects from
development to completion. Oversee on-site contractors and
subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications,
safety regulations, and zoning laws. Review and approve all project
designs and work plans, adjust as necessary. Conduct risk
management assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other project
stakeholders to ensure all elements align with project goals and
AWS standards. Ensure all legal requirements, environmental
policies, and building and safety codes are met. Report on
progress, budget, and adjustments to management and stakeholders
regularly. Strong leadership and project management skills
Expertise in construction, engineering, and project planning
Knowledge of building codes, legal regulations, and safety norms in
construction Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management
software Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal
skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
preferred. OSHA construction safety certification.
