    Job Summary -
    This twelve-month, tenure-track positionrequires serving as the Associate Director of the School of Health Professionsand teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in the Public Health program. Thisperson will work with the Director of the School of Health Professions to guidethe strategic vision for undergraduate and graduate education, teachingeffectiveness, and research initiatives. Additionally, the Associate Directorwill assist with the development, implementation, maintenance, and managementof school-related initiatives. Development of a programmatic line of researchleading to referred publication and participation in program, school,university and community activities is required.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Develops,implements, manages, and maintains initiatives related to the School of HealthProfessions in conjunction with the School Director.
    • Teaches undergraduateand graduate students in a variety of courses in Public Health disciplines(primarily Health Policy and Administration). Teaching includes preparation of course materials such as syllabi, coursecontent, homework assignments, and handouts; evaluation and grading ofstudents' class work, assignments, and papers; maintaining student attendancerecords, grades, and other required records; and holding regularly scheduledoffice hours in order to assist students.
    • Provides academicadvisement and faculty mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students.
    • Pursues research andscholarly activity designed to result in peer-reviewed publication,professional presentations, and external funding.
    • Participates inservice at a variety of levels, including program, school, college, universityand community service.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
      Minimum Qualifications -
      • Doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) from an accredited college or university at the time ofappointment in Public Health, or a related discipline.
      • ABD applicants will be considered as long asdoctorate is conferred by time of appointment.
      • Demonstrated line of scholarly inquiry evidenced by submission of peer-reviewedpublications, professional presentations, and/or grant submissions and awards.

        Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
        • Specialized knowledge inthe field of health policy, management and administration as demonstrated bygraduate level coursework or professional experience is required.
        • We welcome applicants withexpertise in any area of health policy, management and administration, butparticularly invite applications for faculty specializing in health carefinance, law and economics.
        • Strong written and oralcommunication skills.
        • Evidence of strongadministrative and managerial skills.
        • Ability to workcollaboratively on interdisciplinary teams.

          Preferred Qualifications
          • Expertise in health caremanagement, health care finance, health law, and/or health care economics.
          • Research, teaching,and/or service activity that demonstrates commitment to diversity and inclusion.
          • Experience teaching in both online andtraditional classroom environments.
          • Professional work experience in administrationor policy in a public health or healthcare setting.
