Assistant Professor of Music Education (Instrumental), Tenure-Track Position The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Music Education (instrumental), Tenure-Track Position.-- Job Description: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses including instrumental methods, supervising student teaching and other field work; thesis/dissertation; actively publish and present research; serve the university in shared governance, recruitment and retention, and curriculum development. The candidate's performance must result in high-quality student-teacher preparation. Salary and rank commensurate with experience and qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Music Education (ABD considered if graduating by May 2019); minimum three years of successful K-12 music teaching experience; documented research activity Preferred Qualifications: Record of leadership in areas of recruitment, community partnerships, and curriculum development; dedication to student preparation; college teaching experience; experience with online curriculum delivery Start Date: August 2019 Applications will be reviewed starting November 15th, but the position will remain open until filled.
