Job Description:
Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is
seeking an experienced Ammonia/Refrigeration Technician to maintain
and enhance our refrigeration systems across multiple facilities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation,
maintenance, and troubleshooting of our ammonia refrigeration
systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times. This
role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our
food storage and processing capabilities. Operate and maintain
ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers,
and evaporators. Perform routine inspections and preventive
maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure efficient
operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical system
malfunctions. Comply with all safety policies and procedures
related to ammonia refrigeration systems. Document maintenance work
and system performance. Collaborate with the maintenance team to
coordinate repairs and enhancements. Respond promptly to system
emergencies or breakdowns. Strong technical understanding of
ammonia refrigeration systems and components. Ability to read and
interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Proficiency in
using tools and equipment required for maintenance and repairs.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective
communication and teamwork skills. Universal EPA Refrigeration
certification RETA (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians
Association) certification preferred
