Direct theday to day operations of marketing department including promoting all theSouthern Miss Athletic Programs. Thisincludes marketing, promoting, and advertising season tickets, single gametickets and group tickets for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball,Volleyball, Softball, and Baseball as well as overseeing all in game functionsand works in conjunction with the Director of Communications on all socialmedia platforms for Southern Miss Athletics. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day marketing efforts for all sports and selected initiatives, increasing awareness, attendance, and revenue for each athletic program as directed by the Sr. Associate Athletic Director-External Operations.
  • Coordinates with the Digital Marketing and Creative Service department on the production of print materials.
  • Manage the marketing of various ticket packages through social media and digital marketing channels and platforms.
  • Interacts with other university departments to help promote the Athletic Department including Greek Life and student organizations.
  • Creates and implements a comprehensive marketing, promotions, and theme plan for all ticketed sports.
  • Manage the Southern Misses dance team, Spirit squads and Seymour (mascot) ensuring participation at designated Southern Miss athletic and community events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college oruniversity in business, management, marketing or other related field and twoyears experience in collegiate athletics marketing or sports marketing.

    • Abilityto accept and incorporate feedback to improve designs and adapt to changingpriorities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multipleprojects effectively.
    • Ability to produce high volumes of work on deadline whilemaintaining strong production quality and consistency.
    • Ability to performdetailed work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellentverbal and written communication skills required, including the ability toclearly communicate project goals to stakeholders and team members.

Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in business, management,marketing or other related field from an accredited university or college preferred.Experience in athletics marketing and knowledge of NCAA rules preferred.
