About The Position Job Quick Facts Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Jackson, Mississippi Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Period: Jun 30, 2025 - Ongoing - Potential 1 year contract Coverage Type: Clinical Clinical Schedule: Day, Swing or Night shifts - Mon-Fri; 6a-630p, 8a-630p, 12p-10p, 6p-12a, 7p-7a - Sat-Sun; 6a-630p, 9a-7p, 10a-6p, 3p-11p, 7p-7a % of Practice: 95% Direct Patient Care, 5% Administrative Duties Admissions Required: Yes Procedures: - Central Venous line placement - Arterial Catheter placement - Emergency Chest Tube or needle Thoracostomy to relieve tension Pneumothorax - Peritoneal Lavage - Defibrillation and synchronized Cardioversion - Endotracheal Intubation - Lumbar Puncture - Proctoscopy/Anoscopy - Pericardiocentesis, Arthrocentesis - Simple closed fracture and dislocation - Reduction, local and up to moderate systemic anesthesia (intravenous/regional) - Temporary pacemaker placement - Chest tube Thoracostomy and Cricothyroidotomy.
