be considered. A position is available for a Registered Nurse with
Med-Surg or Orthopedic Spine experience, scheduled from 7 PM to 7
AM, based in Newton, KS. This contract role offers a dynamic
opportunity to work on a brand-new med-surg ortho spine unit with
34 beds and a dedicated team of approximately 50 staff members. The
unit specializes in total joint and spine care, utilizing equipment
such as traction and operating with a patient ratio of 6:1. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients
recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including spine, hip, and
joint procedures Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Patient Care
Technicians (PCTs), and Charge Nurses (CNCs) Adhere to unit
guidelines and utilize electronic medical records proficiently,
specifically Meditech Ensure patient safety and comfort while
managing traction equipment and following joint precautions
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid RN license with MS or
Ortho Spine experience preferred Familiarity with traction devices
and orthopedic joint precautions is essential Ability to perform
nursing procedures related to total joint and spine care Outgoing,
compassionate team player with strong communication skills
Experience with Meditech EMR is advantageous Location
