Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Provide advanced stepdown care as a Registered Nurse
in a high-acuity cardiac care unit supporting patients requiring
specialized cardiac monitoring and interventions. This contract
opportunity is located in Newton, KS, with shifts covering the 7 PM
to 7 AM schedule at a nationally recognized medical center known
for its cardiac services. Key Responsibilities: Deliver
comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)
focusing on cardiac stepdown patients Monitor complex cardiac
conditions including management of heart catheterizations, balloon
pumps, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), hypothermia
protocols, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide efficient and
organized patient care Maintain accurate documentation using
Meditech EMR Uphold unit policies and patient safety standards
while managing a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license Experience in stepdown or critical care nursing preferred
Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Familiarity with neurological
assessments (NIH Stroke Scale) is a strong plus Strong
organizational skills, driven mindset, and the ability to maintain
a positive and engaged attitude under pressure Location
