Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Jackson, MS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,930 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS for charge RNs Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience required. - Experience at a larger facility with a high acuity of patients. - Comfort with lines, chest tubes, and experience in hematology/oncology preferred. - Proficiency in Epic charting is required. Description: The unit has a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Adjustments to the ratio may occur for higher acuity patients. Nurses are expected to titrate drips such as heparin and may begin orders for amiodarone before patient transfer to a cardiac unit. Each unit has telemonitoring capability, and all patients are monitored. Charge nurses take a light patient assignment but may take a full load if necessary. Nurse managers are available during business hours, and a house supervisor is present on weekends. All staff may float between medical surgical units as dictated by skillset and patient needs. Weekend work is expected every other week or two weekends per month. Holiday coverage will be rotated among regular staff. Scrub attire must be a solid color and professional in appearance.
