Job Description:
Headway, a pioneering mental health organization, is seeking a
dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to
expand our services. At Headway, we strive to make mental health

insurance networks. In this role, you will directly contribute to
our mission by providing expert psychiatric care, enhancing our
patients' quality of life, and facilitating ongoing mental health
treatment plans. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations,
including diagnosing mental health conditions and substance use
disorders. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each
patient's specific needs. Prescribe medication and monitor its
effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary. Provide crisis
intervention services as needed. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure
cohesive patient care. Educate patients and their families on
mental health conditions and their treatments. Maintain accurate
and confidential patient records. Stay updated with advancements in
psychiatric nursing practices and participate in professional
development activities. Strong ability to diagnose and treat a wide
range of mental health conditions. Expertise in pharmacology,
particularly psychopharmacology. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Proficient in using electronic health records
(EHR) systems. Ability to handle high stress situations calmly and
effectively. Empathetic and compassionate patient care. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Active
licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
(PMHNP-BC) in the state of practice. DEA certification. CPR
certification.
