Job Description Cardiologist Electrophysiologist Opportunity
Highlights: - Salary range: $320,000 - $390,000 per year -
Location: Jackson, Mississippi - Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:00am -
4:30pm including call coverage and weekend rounding as needed
(Alternate schedules may be necessary to meet the needs of the
organization Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive
electrophysiologic studies and evaluations of patients with cardiac
arrhythmias. - Provide preoperative and postoperative care of
patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures. - Perform
advanced electrophysiology procedures, including but not limited
to, catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation,
and device management. - Assess patients for suitability for
various electrophysiologic therapies and make recommendations based
on evidence-based guidelines. - Evaluate and manage patients in
outpatient and inpatient settings who present with complex
arrhythmias and other related cardiovascular conditions. -
Interpret electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitors, event
monitors, and other related diagnostic tests. - Develop and
implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiac
arrhythmias. - Work collaboratively with other members of the
cardiology team and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive
patient care. - Participate in the education and training of
medical students, residents, fellows, and nursing staff in the
diagnosis and treatment of cardiac electrophysiologic disorders. -
Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with
the latest advancements in electrophysiology through participation
in professional societies, conferences, and other educational
opportunities. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and
committees as required by the department and facility. - Ensure the
proper documentation of patient interactions, procedures, and
treatment plans in accordance with VA policies and regulations. -
Contribute to the development and enhancement of clinical protocols
and standards within the electrophysiology service. Benefits: -
