Job Description:
AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER ORDERLY CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK:
Seeking a highly motivated individual that can anticipate the needs
of the unit and respond accordingly. A team player with a positive
attitude that is punctual, reliable, able to adjust to a fast-paced
environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional
essential functions may be identified and included as needed. The
essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Restocking of necessary items Assist with directing family members
to and from the unit Assist with admitting patients to the unit (by
connecting patient’s to monitors, applying Bair Hugger, filling and
applying ice packs, providing extra blankets, and extra fluids if
needed.) Emptying and replacing linen hampers Assisting patients
with dressing, going to restroom, and discharging to their vehicle
(Must be able to assist with patient lifting.) Stripping, cleaning,
remaking stretchers, and taking stretchers to Pre-Op. Answering
phone calls EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Education:
Graduate of four-year high school or equivalent (GED).
