Job Description:
CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK: Mississippi Sports Medicine is hiring a
clinic float staff nurse. This position will provide high-quality
care to patients seen within the clinic. The clinic float nurse is
responsible for floating to assigned physician clinics when the
groups are short-staffed. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing Certification /
License Requirements: Must possess a valid Mississippi nursing
license Experience: One-year clinical experience preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Full-time position: Monday-Friday,
7:30am-5:00pm Maintains competency in multiple orthopedic
sub-specialty areas Assists groups, within the clinics, as needed
Prepares medicines according to physician request Performs dressing
changes and staple/suture removal Records appropriate clinical
notes and maintains patients records Schedule and pre-certify
patient surgeries and procedures Effectively communicate with
patients
