BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & DATA WAREHOUSING ENGINEER

Our Cllient is looking for a BIDW Engineer to assist in coding and maintaining application data, converting data into our data structure, and coding and maintaining 3rd party BIDW exports.

JOB SUMMARY

Your primary tasks will include:

• 
  
• Data conversion activities for new customers being added to the system
  
• Serving as a liaison with customers
  
• Work collaboratively within the BIDW team to develop and implement requirements for BIDW reporting and exports
  
• Supporting BIDW-implemented solutions to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of reporting
  
• Supporting and implementing and working with customer to request specific parameters for requirements on reporting and what data the platform should provide for that reporting
  
• Supporting the implementation and on-going operation of the platform(s)

  ROLE RESPONSIBILITES
  
  
  • 
    
  • Provide the means of system integration by understanding the source and target data and build the data mapping
    
  • Determine architectural approaches for data environments and help ensure that the data needs of the enterprise are being met
    
  • Perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
    
  • Develop and maintain a formal description of the data and data structures, data definitions and data models
    
  • Build strategy and design for managing data history
    
  • Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and analytical dashboards and/or analytical tools for our business users
    
  • Support finance department with the understanding of business and data requirements, and iteratively design visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented for feedback

    REQUIRED/PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Associate degree in Computer Science or Engineering
      
      
    • 3 or more years of data engineering experience in a minimum of 3 of the skills sets below:
      
      • 
        
      • SQL development and queries
        
      • SQL performance optimization
        
      • Relational database experience: MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL, Oracle
        
      • Microsoft DevOps
        
      • Application development using C# or VB.Net
