Koch Foods, a leading and innovative poultry processor in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated CDL Yard Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be crucial in managing the effective movement and handling of our fleet within the facility grounds, ensuring that our fresh and frozen poultry products are timely positioned for distribution while maintaining safety and compliance standards. This role demands precision and diligence, offering a vital connection between our production operations and our facility’s logistics. Safely operate and control company-owned vehicles, including transporting trailers to and from loading docks and parking them in designated slots within the facility yard. Inspect and oversee the condition of transport equipment before and after use to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo, guaranteeing the secure and damage-free handling of goods. Maintain precise records of all movements, vehicle maintenance, and incidents, following company policies and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse staff to ensure efficient and seamless operations. Provide timely and effective communication regarding vehicle status and any logistical issues to the management team. Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures to minimize the risk of injury and accidents. Proven ability to operate a tractor-trailer or similar heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards. Excellent time management skills to handle the fast-paced environment. Good physical condition and stamina to manage manual labor tasks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail especially in vehicle maintenance and inspection tasks. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Additional industry certifications related to transportation and safety are preferred.
