Supervisor - Materials and Warehouse
Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and associate
morale of the Hattiesburg Materials and finished goods operation.
Manages salary and factory associates to assure on-time shipments
to customers, accurate receipt of purchased components, on-time and
accurate replenishment of components for assembly and machining
operations to meet the production schedules, including management
of engine packing operations and steel shipping racks maintenance
program. Provides guidance and direction to warehouse Team Leads.
Focuses on workforce development and process capability, using lean
manufacturing principles, to maximize flexibility, and efficiency.
Drive Warehouse Management processes and solutions.
1. Plan and manage the staff for control of the daily Warehouse
operations (receiving and shipping), part storage, and line
replenishment activities to keep 6 production lines running.
2. Drive safety within the Warehouse through active participation
in safety audits, incident investigation, safety teams, and
conducting monthly training as required.
3. Design, implement and manage a replenishment process for
assembly lines to include machined components and purchased parts.
Ensure that the required parts to meet production requirements are
in the plant somewhere between 1 shift and 1 day before needed to
minimize downtime at assembly line.
4. Forecast monthly staffing including overtime and manage budgets
for Warehouse operations within the goals of the plant.
5. Develop and manage the training matrix for all factory
associates in the Warehouse.
6. Drive lean implementation and continuous improvement through the
use of the Kohler KOS strategies and tools. Primary focus should be
layout, standards for packing and steel handling/repair, FIFO
control and material flow.
7. Lead shipping team staff to meet customer shipping demands and
improve overall LOTIF ratings for the plant.
8. Coordinate actions with HR to ensure compliance with plant
policies and procedures.
9. Assist Warehouse Team Leaders in completing and processing
factory associate performance evaluations ensuring timely
performance feedback and associated pay adjustments.
10. Administer disciplinary actions with the progressive process to
ensure fair and consistent performance and behavior feedback.
11. Actively communicate and measure key metrics for Safety,
Quality, and Productivity to staff and warehouse operators to
properly align actions and behaviors for improvement.
12. Determine and deploy weekly work schedules in support of the
monthly production plans.
13. Ensure adherence to applicable product compliance requirements
including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of
Regulations and California Health and Safety Code.
14. Drive the development and sustainability of Kohler's vision of
reduced cardboard at the assembly line through use of returnable
dunnage and tugger routes for assembly line replenishment and

Education and Experience Requirements
5 years warehousing experience with a minimum of 2 years in
Proficient in Microsoft office.
Ability to analyze and dissect data.
Knowledge of inventory control systems (cycle count, bar code
scanning, LIFO/FIFO, warehouse spacing).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of transportation industry.
Customer service focus.
Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred.
