Job Description:
Summary About the Position: This position is located at Camp
Shelby, MS. Located along US Highway 49 just outside of
Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Camp Shelby is the largest training site
owned by a state in the US. It's one of the largest mobilization
stations of the US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), and it's also the
biggest reserve training facility. Responsibilities Develops,
reviews, and modifies changes to schedule of operations for
successful day-to-day operations. Provides technical guidance and
instruction to users. Prepares, coordinates, and implements policy
and procedures for hardware and software applications system
operation. Identifies system problems of an unusual or complex
nature and develops corrective action. Designs data products,
processes, or programs that enhance functional area management and
provide for increased organizational optimization of IT processes.
Oversees installation and configuration of applications software
and establishment of user environments. Optimizes the functionality
and performance of hardware and software systems and ensures
availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
Tests and evaluates current and proposed equipment and software
enhancement and advises management regarding acquisition proposals
designed to enhance mission accomplishment through automation.

qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements
described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience,

document. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the
GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1)
Providing technical systems support users by analyzing and
isolating mission system and or/software/hardware failures. 2)
Troubleshooting a variety of utility, communications,
word-processing, database, spreadsheet, and network software. 3)
installing and testing network and application software. You will
be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the
following areas: Information Technology Capacity Management
Information Technology Customer Support Information Technology
Performance Assessment Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who
have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks
must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or
equivalent (GS-09) Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using
education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the
qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials
have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in
interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has
been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at

Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31,
1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for
Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide
proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may
be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is
subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized,
subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an
agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework
posture. If selected, you may be expected to temporarily telework,
even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Once
employees are permitted to return to the office, you will be
expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement
within a designated time frame identified by the organization. At
that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework
one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the
