Job Summary

The Admissions Tour Coordinator for the Hattiesburg Campus organizes and implements individual and group campus tours and manages student workers. This position also assists with mass mail-outs, emails, and text messages to prospective and incoming students.

Duties and Responsibilities

This job description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Duties and responsibilities listed are essential job functions and exclude functions which are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.

1. Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.

2. Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.

a. Answer emails, texts, and phone calls regarding undergraduate students, and guide students through the WCU admission process

b. Organize and host individual and group prospective student tours

c. Assist with the planning and implementation of mass campaigns to prospective students and information package requests

d. Manage student worker assignments and schedules

e. Participate in the execution of Admissions events

f. Assist in design and ordering of promotional materials

3. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for operation of the Admissions Office.

4. Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Admissions Office.

Required Qualifications

---Bachelor's Degree

---Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

---Bachelor's Degree from WCU

---Prior recruitment experience

---Prior office management

---Prior computer experience

---Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Demands

---Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.

---Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

---Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.

---Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.

---Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment.
