your application. Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Test
HATTIESBURG, MS, United States - req28806 Senior Electrical Project
Engineer - Test The position is responsible to provide technical
expertise in support of engine and generator testing. This is to
include system design and maintenance, installation oversight,
programming, problem solving, program management and training on
electrical/electronic control systems of equipment at Kohler
Engines. Travel is estimated at Skills/Requirements ---Provide
technical support as required to ensure plant equipment is
operating and optimized. This would include trouble shooting of
down equipment as required. Understanding equipment electrical
controls obsolescence and creating a plan to mitigate.
---Participate as part of a team to drive Smart Factory/Industry
---Interface between production and product design to determine and
implement necessary testing strategies.
---Support warranty reduction and product quality improvements
through analysis, problem solving, and resulting process
---Develop, monitor, and improve data collection and metrics for
quality and throughput for all test equipment.
---Suggest design-for-test and design-for-manufacturability
improvements to design engineering, both for existing and for new
---Assist in vendor selection, equipment specification, quotation,
and reviews for new equipment.--
---Work to develop individual goals/objectives to support the
department goals using the Maximizing Performance Appraisal
Process, and personally demonstrate and drive the Kohler Core
---Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld
including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of
Regulation and California Health and Safety Code.--
Education and Experience Requirements ---B.S. in Electrical
Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
from an ABET accredited program.
---Minimum 4+ years of related work experience.
---Experience needed with Allen Bradley PLCs.
---Experience with a higher-level programming language (Visual
Basic, C#, Python etc.) preferred.
---Experience creating and reading electrical schematic
---Experience using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other lab
equipment to analyze complex circuits.
---Strong computer skills, both hardware and software.
---Strong communication skills, sense of urgency, and
