Job Description:

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. They work closely with maintenance teams, equipment operators, and third parties to schedule and oversee maintenance tasks.This position is located in Hattiesburg, MS.Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive equipment maintenance schedule.
• Coordinate routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for all equipment.
• Coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and mechanics.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues, faults, or wear and tear.
• Prioritize maintenance and repairs based on inspection findings. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Assist in budget planning for equipment maintenance and repair costs.
• Track expenses and make cost-effective decisions.
• Liaise with equipment operators, project managers, and other relevant personnel to schedule maintenance activities with minimal operational disruptions.
• Communicate maintenance schedules and progress to Equipment Manager.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
• Update a computerized maintenance management system (QTC) for data management.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain fleet records in accordance with DOT regulations, and update files as needed.
• Maintain, schedule, and communicate preventive maintenance and inspection schedules to necessary Department managers.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.Qualifications
  • High school diploma or a degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and coordination.
  • Knowledge of equipment systems and components.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance software.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Budget management and cost control experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and Word.Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times when in field environment.
