Chain Co-Op, you will work directly with other members of the
Supply Chain department, as well as Engineering, Manufacturing, and
a diverse supply base. The interaction with these various groups
will allow the individual to build communication skills and improve
critical thinking in a professional atmosphere. This position is
for a Summer & Fall 2026 Co-Op, with a start date of July 2026 and
an end date of January 2027. What You’ll Do: Process the purchases
of select Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) orders with
assistance and oversight of the Indirect Procurement team. Work
with various software and E-commerce systems. Work on projects and
producing reports to assist buyers. Analyze, prepare, and negotiate
quote packages. Assist with the liquidation of obsolete raw
material and parts inventory. Communicate effectively and
professionally with vendors, buyers, internal stakeholders &
management. Troubleshoot vendor or order issues to help maintain
the orderly function of the department. Apply Total Cost of
Ownership metrics in evaluating purchasing decisions. Keep good
records. Pass on your knowledge and assist with the training of
your successor. What You’ll Bring: Major study in: - Business,
preferably with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or
Operations - Engineering Management or Applied Engineering Sciences
Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated sophomore, junior, or senior.
Minimum 2.8 GPA. Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of
Microsoft Office. Excellent judgment and communication skills.
Knowledge of the purchasing processes, including a basic
understanding of inventory control, EOQ, A/B/C prioritization, etc.
