To develop rehabilitative physical care plans and provide athletic training services to patients. Education & Experience Met the educational requirements for certification by the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC). Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Mississippi licensure before hire. BOC Certification Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Responsibilities Conducts an initial assessment of the injury in order to provide emergency or continued care. Applies protective or injury prevention devices such as tape, bandages or braces to the affected area. Collaborates with the physician in order to develop and implement a comprehensive rehabilitation program for athletic injuries. Liasion with the community to educate the public about injury prevention awareness. Maintains accurate records and documentation of all injuries in accordance with UMMC and regulatory standards. Assists coaches in developing athletic training programs to minimize injuries. Performs other duties as assigned.
