Perkins & Williamson Architecture, PLLC ("PWA") is a leading
Hattiesburg based architectural firm with projects spanning from
the Coast of Mississippi to the Capitol over the last 20 years. The
firm's work includes master planning, architectural design, and
interiors. Primary practice areas include healthcare, military
sector, educational, commercial/retail, and multi-family including
some of the largest organizations in the region. PWA is dedicated

Project Manager (5+ Years Experience)
PWA is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Project Manager
to join the team and help grow our culture while working on
exciting new projects.
Summary of Position:
Licensed or Unlicensed Project Manager with five or more years of
experience. The Project Manager is expected to have comprehensive
experience and knowledge of building construction, materials and
methods and routinely works directly with an Architect to act in a
lead capacity in the management of design projects.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree in Architectural
Drafting/Technology or equivalent.
B.Arch a plus with additional compensation, benefits and expanded
Minimum Experience Requirements:
5+ years demonstrated experience in the production of design and
construction documents including 2 years in a project management
Required Skill and Abilities:
Proficient with Revit, Autocad, Adobe, Word, Excel
Highly organized with ability to multi-task and effectively
coordinate with owners, project architect, consulting engineers and
other team members in the production of complete and accurate
design and construction documents on multiple projects
Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability in a team collaborative
Other Essential Skills and Functions of the Position:
Capable of adhering to and utilizing established CAD/BIM
Proficiency in the operation of SketchUp, Adobe Design Suite
(Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Lumion, and/or other rendering
software is a plus (but not a deal breaker).
Working knowledge of the materials, assemblies and methods related
to all aspects of building construction.
Working knowledge of the inter-relation of construction drawings
and specifications and assembly of each following industry and
office standards to provide a complete coordinated set of
Familiar with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and policies
governing life safety, ADA and building construction.
Able to work effectively both independently and as a part of a
larger team on multiple, multi-discipline projects.
Able to manage the pressures associated with fast-paced
environments, critical design tolerances and tight schedules.
Experienced and knowledgeable in collection of as-built information
of existing construction that is required for preparation of
accurate as-built drawings for use in design development and
production of construction documents.
May review the work of less experienced Designers involved in the
preparation of preliminary and final plans and documents.
May work as liaison between Client and Project Manager/Architect in
coordinating detail requirements in preparation of construction
Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.
This is not a routine event but does happen occasionally.
Must be able to collect field data in existing buildings in varying
conditions of disrepair and inspect construction in varying stages
